Chile on the ground
I just landed in Chile and they’re holding us on the plane for a while. All the immigration and customs is being processed in tents on the tarmack. Apparently significant damage to Santiago airport. Fortunately it’s sunny!
I think I’ll be flying to Concepción (epicenter) this afternoon and connecting with superintendent sergio Loyola. We’ll evaluate how the U.S. Church can best help. I’ll keep you informed.
